Oatmeal, Figs & Yogurt

Oatmeal, oatmeal, oatmeal… I literally can’t get enough of it. No matter the season, I always find a way to sneak it into my breakfast. In winter I eat it with warm milk and some dried fruit, in summer I prefer yogurt with some fresh seasonal fruit… I just love experimenting with different combinations! And the reason is really simple – oatmeal is the cheapest, easiest and healthiest breakfast you can make in no time.

All you need is 5 minutes, 4 ingredients and 3 steps!

  • 1 cup Greek/Bulgarian Yogurt
  • 2-3 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp. raw honey
  • 2-3 figs

  1. Mix the yogurt with the oatmeal.
  2. Top with the honey.
  3. Top with figs. Bon appétit!

Note: Males might need to add in more oatmeal. Or actually more from everything!

Nutrition: Oatmeal is from the most affordable superfoods – a wonderful blend of carbohydrates and protein, it keeps your bowels moving, and fills you up for some 3 to 4 hours. Oatmeal is the preferred food for weight-loss, since it is considered an appetite suppressor. Yogurt also is a favorite ingredient I like to add to my meals, since it contains good bacteria for your gut, and is an excellent source of protein. Figs are among the fiber-rich foods, so they’re kind of a “sweet way to lose weight”!
