Truth is, lifestyle matters, whether it is food, sport, stress, etc. All of those factors really do influence our weight. And to make it worse, there is no one formula that suits all people. Wonder Nuts

Nuts are among my favorite types of snacks. They are so nutritious and just a handful of any type can fill you up and fade away any cravings. The most beautiful part is that nuts are so diverse you can never get bored. They all provide different health benefits though, so it’s good to know what to choose for maximum effect. Let me introduce to you some of the most wonder-ful options you can choose from… or as I call them, the wonder-nuts! Walnuts – wonder for your brain. Maybe it’s not by chance that they have the shape of a brain – walnuts are, in fact, excellent for the health of your brain. They contain neuroprotective compounds like vit. E, omega-3 fats, and tons of antioxidants....

Natural Products for Glowing Skin

Do you know what your largest organ is? Even if you don’t know the answer to this question, that’s not such a big deal (it’s your skin, by the way). What’s most important is the answer to the following question: Do you take care of your skin? You better do, because your skin is such an important indicator of your health. In today’s article, I will reveal my two favorite products for glowing skin: all natural and inexpensive! First of all, let’s recap. Skin is human's largest organ. It is the "shield" of our bodies from the surrounding world. It serves as a protection from direct infections and radiation; acts as a barrier to any stress or trauma; it detects sensations and through the nerve endings sends signals...

Dairy-free..?

Dairy has been a very controversial topic lately. Should we consume it or not, are all people intolerant to milk, how we know whether we are sensitive to it, is raw better than pasteurized, and so on, and so on… You might have come across all those questions. There is so much to talk about that I would definitely not fit in this blog, but there are some fundamental things you need to know. To help you understand the basics of dairy and whether you should consume it or not, I will point out why the topic of milk intolerance arises on first place. Secondly, I will give you three reasons why dairy might not be a healthy option for you, and lastly, I will present...

Home-made Peach Yogurt

I like to start my days with something nutritional, delicious and of course, if possible, fat-burning. This combination of peach and yogurt is all of that: yummy, healthy and filling. Enjoy! Ingredients: 1 peach 1 cup of yogurt 2% fat (Greek, Bulgarian) 1 tbsp raw honey (optional) Method: Cut the peach in half. Blend one half with the yogurt. Add in the honey for more sweetness. Serve with the other half of the peach (you can cut the last one in cubes and mix with the the yogurt)                             Nutrition: Yogurt is well known for its fat-burning qualities. It is not only a great source of protein but also contains probiotics which stimulate good digestion. On top...

My Guide to a Lazy Detox

First, let’s clear out something: why is everyone talking about a detox? Every season, all the big nutritional websites and beauty magazines come out with covers such as “3 Day Summer Detox”, “A Warming Winter Detox”, “Easy and Affordable Spring Detox”, etc. So, why is that? The reason is very simple: your body needs a break. Something like a ‘vacation’, but for your digestive system… During a detox, there are several very important rules. Drink tons of water - aim for at least 3 liters per day to clear out the clutter of your body and speed up the detoxication process. Move your body - whether it is relaxing yoga at home or vigorous exercise at the gym, just choose a way to detox your mind...

SuperEasy Fancy Chicken

Fancy doesn’t always mean hard. If you want to try a more interesting version of your daily portion of the protein-rich chicken, here’s a super easy, yet fancy looking recipe for you!   Ingredients: 2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless) 2 roasted red pepper strips 100-150 gr. mozzarella light Italian dressing for basting 10 spinach leaves (optional) salt and pepper to taste parmesan cheese Method: Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a casserole dish. Cut each chicken breast so it resembles a butterfly (slice it in the middle on one side just until you almost reach the other side, but don’t cut it all the way through). Sprinkle the inner sides of the chicken breasts with the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Fold in the chicken breasts spinach...
